According to the Official Gazette of the European Union, on October 23, 2023, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU) No. 2023/2210, approving 3-fucosyllactose is placed on the market as a novel food and amends the Annex to the European Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/2470. It is understood that 3-fucosyllactose is produced by a derivative strain of E. coli K-12 DH1. These Regulations shall take effect on the twentieth day from the date of promulgation.
