We are pleased to announce that the Kwinbon MilkGuard B+T Combo Test Kit and the Kwinbon MilkGuard BCCT Test Kit have been awarded ILVO accreditation on 9 August 2024!
The MilkGuard B+T Combo Test Kit is aqualitative two-step 3+3 min rapid lateral flow assay to detect β-lactams and tetracyclines antibiotic residues in raw commingled cows’ mik. The test is based on the specific reaction of antibody-antigen and immunochromatography. β-lactam and tetracycline antibiotics in the sample compete for the antibody with the antigen coated on the membrane of the test strip.
This test is validated at ILVO-T&V (Technology & Food Science Unit of the Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food) according to ISO Technical Specification 23758 | IDF RM 251(ISO/IDF,2021), Commission Implementing Regulation 2021/808 and to the EURL Guidance document on screening method validation (Anonymous, 2023). The following analytical parameters were checked: detection capability, rate of false positives, repeatability of test and test robustness. The test was also included in a interlaboratory study organised by ILVO in Spring 2024.
