Matrine
Matrine is a natural botanical pesticide, with poisoning effects of touch and stomach, low toxicity to humans and animals, and has good preventive effect on various crops such as cabbage greenfly, aphid, red spider mite, etc. Oxymatrine is a botanical pesticide, with poisoning mechanism mainly based on touch, supplemented by stomach toxicity, and it has the features of high efficiency, low toxicity and long efficacy period. Matrine has been approved for use as an insecticide in some Asian countries (e.g. China and Vietnam).
At the beginning of 2021, a number of EU countries detected the new pesticide Matrine and its metabolite Oxymatrine in honey exported from China, and honey exported to Europe by a number of domestic enterprises was returned.
