Recently, China and Peru signed documents on cooperation in standardization and food safety to promote bilateral economic and trade development.
The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the State Administration for Market Supervision and Administration of the People's Republic of China (Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China) and the National Standardization Agency of Peru (hereinafter referred to as the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation) signed by the General Administration of Market Supervision and Administration of the People's Republic of China and the National Standardization Agency of Peru was incorporated into the outcome of the meeting of the heads of State of both parties.
Through the signing of the MOU, the two sides will promote international standardization cooperation in the areas of climate change, smart cities, digital technology and sustainable development under the framework of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and carry out capacity enhancement and joint research work. The General Administration of Market Supervision will actively implement the consensus of the meeting between the heads of state of China and Peru, promote the coordination and docking of standards between the two countries, reduce technical barriers to trade, and contribute to the continued promotion of bilateral economic and trade exchanges.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Cooperation in the Field of Food Safety between the State Administration for Market Supervision and Administration of the People's Republic of China (AASM) and the Ministry of Health of Peru (MOH), signed by AASM and MOH, was incorporated into the outcome of the meeting between the two heads of state.
Through the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, China and Peru have established a cooperation mechanism in the field of food safety supervision and will cooperate in the areas of food safety regulations, food safety supervision and enforcement, and the quality and safety of agri-food processed products.
